Your responsibilities

As a Swabian Instruments USA Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for driving both inbound & outbound sales growth, cultivating existing customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and driving our marketing efforts forward. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background paired with a genuine enjoyment for interacting with others. Your technical knowledge will enable you to deeply understand our technology and the scope of our customers’ applications/requirements. Your communication skills will enable you to effectively diagnose the needs of our customers and convey the value our products can provide with respect to them. Lastly, any Swabian Instruments team member should demonstrate an insatiable drive and passion to be the absolute best at whatever they do.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science required
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain complex concepts in a polished, clean manner
  • Excellent active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills tailored to your audience
  • Effective organizational & time management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
  • Competitive drive and energy to learn and improve consistently

Nice to Haves

  • 1-3 Years of technical sales experience, preferably in the test & measurement industry
  • Knowledge of research-driven industry verticals like Photonics, Life Sciences, Semiconductors, or Quantum Science
  • Experience with CRM solutions like HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable software
