FPGA Developer for high-performance instrumentation (m/f/d)

Your role

As part of the R&D team you design novel high-speed time-to-digital converters and digital pattern generators for quantum computers and other scientific experiments. You fulfill an engineering position with a challenging mission statement within high-performance instrumentation, and the possibility to become a key person in Swabian Instruments’ growing R&D team.

Your tasks

  • Design low jitter FPGA-based time-to-digital converters
  • Develop FPGA designs for demanding digital pattern generation
  • Implement an output delay calibration on the picosecond time scale
  • Optionally: Develop C++ interfaces for our FPGA cores
  • Optionally: Contribute to the electronics design of our digital pattern generators

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent FPGA design skills are an absolute must
  • Proven track record of key contributions to high-performance FPGA designs
  • C++ and electronics development skills are a plus
